The Jet Office building is a five-story B+ class office building designed for leasing. It has a usable floor area of 2,500 m². An underground parking garage provides sufficient parking spaces, equipped with a two-level automated parking system. The building occupies a wedge-shaped plot between the busy Piątkowska Street, Aleje Solidarności, and a tram line. The distinctive shape of the site greatly facilitated the search for the building’s form—it felt natural to sharpen and energize its mass.

The building’s column-and-slab structure, combined with its elongated “prow,” required us to address issues of structural stiffness. The shallow depth of the building, paired with its large facade area, acted like a giant sail.

The building’s exposure led us to passively limit the amount of sunlight entering the interior. We chose to install fixed sun-shading elements in the form of “fins,” creating an engaging light-and-shadow effect that breaks up the uniformity of the fiber-cement panel facade. Our aim was for the architecture to be defined by the building’s form rather than by decorative details.

The repetitive floors consist of open-plan office spaces that can be subdivided as needed. Vertical circulation is provided by two elevators. To break the rigid office environment, we placed a quote from Stanisław Bareja’s film "What Will You Do When You Catch Me?" on the walls of one elevator. The typographic arrangement forces the reader to interact, bidding farewell with the words: “I shave, eat breakfast, and go to sleep.
